AlphaVectorFind your fix

Three signals.
One fix on your calling.

A vector has a size and a direction. So does a career. AlphaVector reads your project history, your pull toward certain work and the market's demand, then hands you a position, a route and a way to check you are still on it.

No sign-in needed to run the analysis. Takes about 20 minutes with your projects to hand.

What it is

What is AlphaVector?

A career-positioning framework and a guided app. It reads your own project history, what pulls you and what the market wants, and tells you where to go next.

Your evidence sets the size of the vector. The three signals set its direction.

The parts

Three signals, because one distance cannot find you.

Strengths

What you have proven

The work you have actually done: which processes you carried out on which projects, what came of it, and what people said.

Why it needs the other two

On its own: You get very good at things nobody needs.

From your project log. Every tick is tied to a project, an industry, an impact and the feedback you received, then scored for how well your history proves it.

Passion

What pulls you

The work that gives you energy, and the areas you would pursue without being asked.

Why it needs the other two

On its own: You chase work you cannot yet do, or that no one is hiring for.

From how each project felt (energised, neutral, drained) and the three to five areas you choose. It tilts the result toward what you want; it never replaces the evidence.

Market demand

What is wanted

Where hiring and skills are moving, how fast, and how exposed each direction is to automation or saturation.

Why it needs the other two

On its own: You follow demand into work that drains you.

From dated, cited research such as hiring-posting indices, labour statistics and industry reports, each weighted by how reliable its source is.

Your alpha, in the right direction

Three routes, not one answer.

Your alpha is the edge that is yours: work you have proven you can do, want to keep doing, and that someone needs done. Each route sits at a different distance from the work you already do, so you choose how far to stretch.

Safe
A step you could take now. Strong evidence, small gap.
Growth
A real stretch, with a clear bridge of skills and projects.
Bold
The highest upside and the longest road. Worth it only if pull and demand are both real.

Why it works throughout your career

A fix is not forever. Check it again.

Your strengths grow with every project, your pull shifts, and the market moves on its own schedule. Three clocks, so your position is re-fixed whenever one of them changes.

Log · Fix · Follow · Recalibrate

Where you are in your career
Studying or just starting
Your evidence is thin, and AlphaVector says so. Routes stay close to what you have actually done.
Early career
Your first real choice of direction, with the skills and projects that turn a first role into a second.
Mid career
Pivots get risky. You see how far a new field really is from your work, so a bold move is a decision, not a leap of faith.
Senior and leading
The question shifts from skills to position. Your history, scope and recognition anchor where you can credibly go next.

Go deeper

The thinking behind it.

The philosophy: purpose is a position

Purpose is easier to locate than to discover in a flash. The old idea, ikigai, puts it where what you are good at, what you love and what the world needs overlap. The trouble is that each circle is usually filled in by guessing.

AlphaVector keeps the idea and changes the instrument. Strengths come from what you have done, passion from how that work felt, demand from dated, cited research. When the three disagree, the disagreement is the most useful thing it can tell you.

The science, in plain words

Strengths are scored from evidence, not self-description. Every skill is tied to a project, an impact and the feedback you received, and a thin log lowers confidence rather than pretending to certainty.

Passion separates intrinsic from extrinsic motivation. How work felt and what you would do unasked count as passion; praise and recognition count as evidence of strength, not of passion.

Market demand comes from dated, cited observations from named sources, scored by fixed rules, so the same inputs always give the same result.

The weights, formulas and sources are shared with schools, institutes and partners on request.

What you leave with
  • Your position, with a ranked strengths profile.
  • Three routes (Safe, Growth, Bold), each with a plain-language risk assessment.
  • The gaps between you and each route, and how long they usually take to close.
  • A roadmap through 30 days, 90 days and the year ahead, with matched learning for every gap.
  • Progress tracking, and a way to recalibrate.

Bring your projects. Leave with a position.
